HHS has granted more than 1,000 Affordable Care Act compliance waivers

The Hill is reporting that the "number of temporary healthcare reform waivers granted by the Obama administration to organizations climbed to more than 1,000, according to new numbers disclosed by the Department of Health and Human Services."

I recently had lunch with a friend who is a CFO of a local business here in Texas.  He reports that his company applied for and received a waiver, but at a great expense (corporate lawyers like to bill and bill a lot) and anxiety among the company's leadership.
