Antipsychotic usage and kids in custody--an American tragedy

In the latest example of who antipsychotics are being prescribed inappropriately, Florida’s state-run jails and residential homes are regularly giving large doses of the meds but not for uses that were approved by the FDA. And in some cases, the drugs are prescribed by contract doctors who have taken speaking fees and other gifts from drugmakers, according to The Palm Beach Post.
